I am committed to communicating my research beyond academia and contributing to public conversations about tertiary education, research, and their changing roles in society. My research and commentaries have appeared in Nature, Times Higher Education, The Conversation, HEPI Blog, University World News, and other public and professional outlets. I have also been interviewed by national and international media about my research and on related topics.
I have contributed research evidence and expertise to policymaking and policy debate in the UK and internationally. This has included written and oral evidence to parliamentary and governmental bodies, commissioned research, policy briefings, and collaboration with policymakers and policy organisations.
I regularly present my research for academic, policy, professional, and public audiences. I have delivered more than 100 talks and presentations, including invited keynotes, webinars, seminars, lectures, conference presentations, panel contributions, and workshops.
